Interpersonal relationships are associated with the social associations, connections, and affiliations between two or more people. Human beings are social animal. We have to live with so many people around, within the society. And while we live with each other, we develop several relationships with different individuals. The human relationship is a specific connection between two or more individuals which at the same time is the ultimate testing ground for our spiritual evolution. A relationship develop with interacting with the people. There may be several kinds of interactions. Someone may interact with other overtly, or covertly. The interactions may be face-to-face or may be over phone, or any other mode of communications.

Sometimes, interactions may be virtual as well, when one interacts with other inside of a chat-room or so.

Interpersonal relationships can be classified into the following types in terms of relational contexts of interaction and the types of expectations that communicators have towards others. Friendship: Since the childhood days the friendships star to develop. We tend to be attracted to each other and like each others presence. Day by day, this friendship develops. Friends are one of the biggest helps that one can ever get in his entire life. Friendship grown between two like-minded people, or it should involve some chemistry that attracts each other. Family: We all come from a family and live like a family. Involvement: After the Contact, the relationship starts to grow. You interact with each other more, try to know each other well.

Intimacy: The intimacy begins. Here you already have known each other well. You have come close to each other. Now, it is the time to take your relationship ahead.
